Nan’s Story
The year was 1990. As a dietitian, I began offering healthy spa travel to clients and patients wishing to lose weight. Returning home healthier and thinner, several clients then asked me to arrange their future vacations. 1994 was a magical year as I took the plunge opening a boutique travel agency while also creating an early online presence during the internet stone age. Propitiously, my 14 year old smarter than a pistol geek nephew with Coke bottle glasses - handled the initial programming. Fast forward a few years to my stint as V.P. of Leisure Travel for a leading online travel company, then moving onto the screen as Nancy the Navigator, a TV Travel Host - whew time really flew by. I was flying everywhere, offering the buzz on the newest and hottest resorts while writing scripts along the way, which then led to a stint as a freelance travel writer. It was simply a logical progression soooo when I finally landed –Luxury Travel Expert was clearly my niche. By the way, my nephew grew up, got even smarter and now is the head of technology for a global digital marketing company and traveling with a passion.
